Overview of the role:

The Senior Marketing Manager B2C & B2B role will be key in translating Marketing Business strategies into product and service strategies and roadmaps for the Global Aftersales Automotive division. The right candidate will be tasked with driving the growth of the business through a focus on consumer insights, customer experience design and data backed decisions which will lead the After Sales portfolio of products and Services that delivers sales performance, margin strength and competitive advantage in the Automotive sector in the UAE region and all AFA Global aftersales businesses.

 

This is a critical role that will help us deliver not only on existing Marketing roadmaps and aspirations but will be bringing forward ideas and innovative new ways to provide best in class end to end customer experiences from ideation to go to market and beyond stages. Leading from the front, the right candidate will be responsible for maximising sales / profit through commercial understanding of product, customer and internal capabilities. 

 

This role will use specific discipline & technical knowledge to plan and enable a strategic roadmap for an agile marketing plan and activities that integrate, data analytics, online to offline customer journey in order to deliver outcomes for the Global Aftersales Automotive division aspiration with an ongoing role to drive continuous improvement beyond the completion of the initial uplift.

 

This role will work in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, and business stakeholders, to define our Marketing priorities & roadmaps. In this role, the right candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements, generating ideas, developing appropriate business cases and prioritizing according to the strategic direction of AF Global Aftersales Division & AF Automotive division (CoE Customer Centricity).

 

Highlights:

•  Supervise Marketing Strategy, plan & implementation

•  Management of:

o Managing the team for B2B & B2C requirements for aftersales business including Al-Futtaim Auto Centers (ALAC)
o  Internal Al-Futtaim stakeholders
o  Experiential projects, sponsorships/ partnerships - planning and strategy implementation.
o  Social media strategy development and implementation, separately for each business - relevant to the brand positioning to maximize engagement, opportunities, and loyalty
o  Agency partner relationships
•  Coordination of: 
o  Public Relations planning and execution
o   CRM communication across the customer journey
o   In conjunction with the Performance management team, responsible for supporting the businesses in the development and implementation of their digital strategy including the execution, maintenance and optimizing of all digital plans.

 

What you will do:

•  Supervise Marketing Strategy, plan & implementation
o Define and develop the annual marketing strategy in alignment with the business’ objectives
o Design the corresponding communications plan in accordance with the approved strategy
 

•  Brand Management
o  Develop a strategic direction plan for brand’s association with external/internal stakeholders (Global Aftersales brands including Al-Futtaim Auto Centers (ALAC), external but relevant businesses) as part of the wider experiential strategy.
o  Work with the heads of each business and central PR team to develop the appropriate communication & PR strategies. 
 

•  Social Media Management
o  Development and strategic steering of the brand social media strategy in line with the wider marketing and business goals 
o  Development and management of “always-on” brand and product social content complimenting ongoing campaigns and brand positioning
o  Integration and implementation of social media into all brand activities, both physical and virtual.
 

•  Digital:
o  Coordinate cross functionally with internal teams to manage:

Individual business websites to ensure compliance to brand standards, tonality, and communication direction 

Digital media planning & performance 

CRM communications to ensure efficiencies of outbound marketing initiatives
 

•  Campaign and Agency management
o  Active participation in all campaign planning, management, and implementation across the agency ecosystem.
o  Active participation in agency partner management with marketing colleagues and attendance of all agency status sessions.
 

•  Analytics & Reporting
o  Development and implementation of regular reports, in cooperation with business head and central marketing team, focusing on brand performance in the experiential and digital spaces. 
o  Delivery of a quarterly “insights” report focusing on brand performance in the responsible domain for the previous quarter - aimed at providing tangible recommendations towards “future plans” to meet both brand and business goals.
o  Marketing Investment tracking and management including supervision of PO issuance, invoicing and budget updates

About the Team:

You will be reporting to Head of Marcomms & Planning.

 

What equips you for the role:

  • Business qualification with a strong understanding of operational & commercial marketing
  • B2B and/or B2C expertise/experience mandatory
  • Preferable to have some previous experience and knowledge on the UAE’s legal landscape when it comes to MarComs related topics
  • Budget management for central costs and specific projects/initiatives
  • Needs to be fully proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • 5 - 8 years B2C or B2B marketing experience with relevant exposure to the automotive industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills essential. 
  • Due to the nature of this exciting opportunity, the role will need to be highly flexible, can move in a fast-paced competitive environment, and deliver against team objectives. 
  • Manage and support the Global After Sales marketing team including Al-Futtaim Auto Centers (ALAC)
  • Keep a good relationship with all Head of Businesses and work with them on the marketing strategical direction for their departments and cascade to the marketing team members
  • Maintain the overview and follow up on the different project and initiatives and ensure all will be within the agreed timing and budget
